Itā€™s no coincidence that j-hope and J. Coleā€™s stage names both start with J. Since the beginning of his career, the BTS singer has emulated the North Carolina rapper. On 2013ā€™s Born Singer, one of BTSā€™ earliest songs, the K-pop sensations interpolated Coleā€™s Born Sinner. The following year, Hope name-dropped the Dreamville leader on Hip Hop Phile. In 2018, Hope titled his debut mixtape Hope World after Coleā€™s debut studio album, Cole World. Then, this past July, the pair met for the first time backstage at Lollapalooza, where Hope professed to Cole, ā€œYouā€™re my muse.ā€

It appears the two have kept in touch. In a full circle moment, the Korean idol has joined forces with his own idol on the song on the street.
